Mike Kras of the Beursfoon Rockstar Suzuki Team finished on the podium at round four of the Dutch Open MX1 Series in Rhenen. In both motos he crossed the finish line in third position, which gave him the third spot on the podium.
Mike started the day positively by setting the second fastest time in practice. This gave him a lot of self-confidence going into the first moto.
In the first moto he took a good start and started the race in second position. Things were going really well for Mike and he managed to take over the lead from Tanel Leok. Mike kept the pace as high as he could but got passed by Leok and later in the race also by Shaun Simpson. Mike kept pushing but wasn't able to pass them back and finished the race in third position.
In the second moto he started the race just outside of the top five. Mike was building up his race but managed to take over fourth position in the beginning of the race. Mike started to put the pressure on the third place rider. In lap 8 he made a pass stick and moved up into third position. The two leaders were already too far gone so Mike settled for third position in the second moto.
Overall he finished in third position and despite the fact that he has missed the first two rounds of the series, he sits in eight position in the championship. On the 23rd of June, the fifth round of the series will be held in Markelo.
