Mike Kras of the Beursfoon Rockstar Suzuki Team has showed his potential at round two of the Dutch Open Championship Series in Oldebroek. Unfortunately he had to lower the pace because he had a lot of problems with arm pump in both motos and finished the motos in 11th and 19th position respectively.

The track in Oldebroek was well prepared when the riders went out on the track for their practice session. Some parts of the track were a little bit frozen but the conditions were ok. Mike found his rhythm straight away and was motivated to put a fast lap together in time practice. He started his lap right behind Jeffrey Herlings and could see his lines. The lap went really well and Mike qualified himself in second position.

In the first moto he took a good start and at the end of the first lap he came by start/finish in third position. In the first part of the race he held on to third position. Unfortunately he got a lot of arm pump in the middle of the race and had to lower the pace. Mike kept the pace as high as he could but lost a lot of positions and finally finished the race in eleventh position.

His start in the second moto wasn’t so good as his start in the first moto and he came out of the first corner around tenth position. He tried to find his rhythm but after a few laps he got a lot of arm pump again. Mike tried to score as good as possible but had to lower the pace and dropped all the way back to nineteenth position.

Overall he finished in fifteenth position and after two rounds he sits in sixteenth position in the Dutch Open Championship Standings. Next weekend Mike will participate in the first Grand Prix MX3 of the season in Valkenswaard.
